- Today we did a warm up looking back at our R+J drama terms and definitions and identifying and explaining two examples of terms we have scene in our reading of Act I.
- We watched the opening scenes from the 1996 Romeo + Juliet and compared and contrasted how the director interpreted and modified the original work.
- I offered students a "grade S.O.S." that will only be available for grades from the first 9 week period. If you received any zeros, you may submit that work to me by Friday for half credit. Absolutely no late work will be accepted.
- Hmwk: Work on any make-up work for Friday
2nd Block:
- We did a warm up reviewing Night so far and charting progress students have made.
- Ms. Reilly visited our class to discuss a field trip to the Latino Youth Conference taking place on November 8th. Any interested student must register, see me or Ms. Reilly in rm 211 (across from the main office) with any questions or to register.
- We read and worked on catching up with the study questions for Night; some students are reading their book individually, others are reading as a small group. Any absent students should see me regarding their reading groups.

3rd Block:
- We reviewed the events of Romeo and Juliet from last week, and I reminded each student to BE WORKING ON YOUR STUDY GUIDE QUESTIONS.
- We read and discussed Act I scene iii of Romeo and Juliet
- Students from the debate club gave some information about deadlines and how to join, as well as the benefits of learning to debate well. See Ms. Campbell for more details or attend a meeting in rm 228 on Tuesday at 7:45 a.m.
