A REMINDER TO ALL STUDENTS: All make-up work for zeros is due this Friday, October 3rd.
- Today, we finished reading Act I, completing scene v, the party scene.
- After reading and discussing, we watched the party scene from both the 1968 and 1996 versions of the film and compared each interpretation to the original script.
- As an exit ticket, each student had to write two differences between the film adaptation and the play.
- Hmwk: You should now be able to complete all of the Act I questions in your R+J study guide.
2nd Block:
- We continued to read Night and answer study guide questions.
- Students should have completed chapter one and be close to completing chapter two. If you would like to take a book home to catch up, extra copies may be checked out in the Media Center.
3rd Block:
- We read Romeo and Juliet Act I scenes iii and iv aloud and review the previous scenes of Act I.
- We watched the beginning of the 1996 version of the film, discussing what the director chose to change and what he chose to keep, and reasons for/effects of those choices.
- Hmwk: Students should be keeping up with their R+J study guides.
